About Us
Human beings, social creatures that we are, always end up forming symbiotic groups that flourish in people's innate need for one another. A community is much more than just people who happen to occupy similar space. A community has a shared thought process for its survival. A community holds love and accountability for the lives it is made up of. Whether 10 or ten thousand communities are built upon an openness that is necessary for one to see themselves as part of a whole.
The beauty in every community is in its diversity. A plethora of form, knowledge, experience, and expression yet can still move with the continuity of oneness. ComeUnity seeks to shed light on all the things that make our community so beautifully complex. Come Unity is a call to action for all those who encounter it to make a connection that you may not have had before, leave more connected than you came.
As a collective we organize art centralized events that work towards the empowerment and healing of our community. Each event we tackle atleast one social justice issue that has been identified by the community as a need. ComeUnity seeks to provide space that allows for genuine interactive and complex thought around the many issues that communities may face, especially in the inner-cities of NJ.
We provide these spaces through combining art with the service/communal hand. ComeUnity seeks to be the bridge between community and much needed resources. We provide a space not only for enjoyment, entertainment, art appreciation, and relief, but also tangible assets for the community at large.
